Waterplay making a splash with kids of all ages

Designed to engage and amuse younger children at their own level, the Waterleaf and a new set of toddler features have been introduced by Waterplay Solutions.

The new toddler play features all comprise a rotating section that can be spun by the child, much like the company's Revolution series released last year.

Included are Fun-Guy Interaction, Mini Squirt Spray, Salt N Pepper Nozzle and Wiggly Interaction.

Product manager Cory Forrest explains: "It is important to design water play features that facilitate the development of motor skills and stimulate imaginative play engaging toddlers in a way that allows them to relate.

"This means considering the world from their vantage point and allowing them to explore the water without intimidation

Additional to Waterplay's standard stainless steel fabrication, it has now incorporated acrylic in some of the new designs delivering a unique aesthetic look and capitalising on the different manufacturing options available.

Forrest continues: "When water travels down a channel carved into acrylic, the result is a smooth stream of water instead of a pressurized spray.

"This means that both designers and children can enjoy more variety and diversity when it comes to water effects within aquatic play pads."

The material is used in two of the toddler features as well as the new Waterleaf.

The latter stands more than ten feet tall and personifies the stylish curvy aesthetic for which the company is becoming known.
